A non-legal checklist for labels, product files, local registration and importer responsibilities across Middle Eastern markets.
Treat each destination as a separate regulatory market
The Middle East is not one regulatory jurisdiction. Product classification, registration, authorised representative rules, language requirements and importer obligations can differ between countries. A document accepted in one market may not be enough in another.
Separate commercial and regulatory documents
Commercial documents support purchase and customs activity, while technical and regulatory files support product approval and safe distribution. Importers should maintain controlled copies of both sets and confirm that manufacturer names, model numbers and product descriptions match.
Verify labels before production or shipment
Label corrections after arrival can be expensive or prohibited. The required information may include manufacturer details, lot number, expiry date, storage conditions, warnings, intended use, country of origin and local representative information. Translation requirements should be confirmed early.
Use qualified local advice
This publication provides general sourcing information, not legal or regulatory advice. Before importing dental products, buyers should consult the relevant health authority, customs authority and qualified local regulatory specialist for the current rules.
